When my wife and I found out we were expecting our first child we knew that we wanted to document as much of the journey as possible. We asked Matt if he would be able to set up a pregnancy photo shoot for us and our puppies. Matt knew that we had planned to use these photos as our “announcement” to the world and he did not disappoint. In just a few hours, Matt was able to organize a portfolio of shots that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. In addition to making the day feel relaxed and fun, he even went as far as to edit a couple photos SAME DAY so we could immediately share them with our family. I did a shoot with Matt with various locations and outfit changes. I'm very young, I was by myself, and I'm not an experienced model by any means. For my very first shoot, I chose a woman photographer purely because we hear horror stories about young female models and photographers. Although I was hesitant, after spending the day with Matt I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone! He mentioned several times that my being comfortable was his first priority which was very much appreciated. He provided direction and feedback about posing, angles, lighting, etc. He went out of his way to make me laugh and feel more comfortable which resulted in some really beautiful shots! The personality of a photographer is much like the hand that holds the brush when creating art. The way Matt approaches the shoot is a large part of what makes the resulting art beautiful. Look no further!!! Literally the best photographer anyone could ask for! We had the privilege of having Matt do both our engagement photos and wedding photos and everyone across the internet was blown away. But even greater than Matt’s technical skill and talent behind the lens is his love for what he does and the people he gets to connect with. Matt photographed our engagement shoot and I cannot express enough how OBSESSED I am with the photos! He captured our love for one another beautifully! Ryan and I normally don't pose romantically in front of a camera but, Matt did everything he could to make us feel comfortable and encouraged us to just have fun. Throughout the shoot, Ryan and I couldn't handle the "serious" poses or even the "intimate" poses so every time we were asked to pose in that way, we couldn't help but burst out laughing or say weird things to one another. Matt kept saying throughout the shoot how goofy we were and I think the "goofiness" described us perfectly throughout these photos. I CANNOT recommend Matt enough when it comes to your photography needs. He outdid himself with these photos and we'll cherish them forever!

I can’t even begin to talk about how AMAZING of a job Matt did on our wedding photos! From the beginning, Matt was constantly communicating with us on the timeline of our wedding day, shots that he suggested, and even had us share a Pinterest board of “must have” couples shots. He was so detail oriented and even came to our wedding venue the night before to scope out the venue and get familiar with our plans! The morning of our wedding he showed up before me (the bride)!! He wanted to make sure our schedules and shot lists matched up and even helped coordinate with our videographer. He did an EXCELLENT job making sure that he got every important moment of our day! We got so many compliments that our photos looked like a “magazine cover”.. all props to Matt’s attention to detail! Matt made sure every photo was picture perfect before sending them to us.
